PLTW Design Process 6-steps

This is the 1st step in the design process. The design requirements are determined and the design brief is created.

This is the 2nd step in Design process. It includes researching past solutions and brainstorming possible new solutions. Selecting an approach using a Decision Matrix.

This is the 3rd step in Design process. The team has agreed on a design and you create a detailed design technical drawings.

This is the 4th step in Design process. It includes building the a testable prototype. Then testing it for performance/ usability/ durability, collecting the data, analyzing the data and creating a test report of the findings.

This is the 5th step in Design process. This is where you test and revise the design. It includes evaluating the solution's effectiveness, reflecting on design, making recommendation for improvements of the design, and revising design documents.

This is the 6th and last step in the Design process and is when the project portfolio is shared usually during a formal presentation.
