Exposition is the introductory section of the play where TIME, CHARACTER, PLACE, and SITUATION are presentated

The parts where Romeo shows his lust for Rosaline, normal Conversation between the Capulet's and the Montagues, and Mercutio makes fun of Romeo because Rosaline's intent is to never marry.

Exciting Force is when something happens that gets the action moving, usually in the first act.

Exciting Force is when Romeo met Juliet at the Capulet house and forgets about Rosaline.

Rising action is the events leading up to the climax, usually covers more than one act

Romeo needs to secretly marry Juliet, fearing their parents disapproval. Scenes between their first encounter, to to their marriage.

Climax is the highest point of action in the play. Where there is a change in the protagonist, who now seems to be following a downwards path.

It is when Tybalt kills Mercutio, Romeo kills Tybalt, and Romeo is then banished.

The FALLING ACTION is the events following the climax, the conflict is the essence of the play, most events go against the protagonist.

Paris will soon marry Juliet, the parents are unaware of Juliet's secret marriage.

MOMENT OF FINAL SUSPENSE is near the end of the play where things begin to look like they will go the way of the protagonist AFTERALL.

Juliet drinks the potion from the Friar, and Romeo is misinformed about her death.

CATASTROPHE is the COMPLETE DOWNFALL of the protagonist, either through death or through some other devastating experience.

Romeo drinks the potion and Juliet wakes up and sees Romeo dead and drinks the potion too.
