Politics And Government Quizzes

Politics and government go hand in hand, as the two are intertwined with each other. Politics involve the activities of individuals or groups in order to gain and maintain control over a government. While government is the system of rules and regulations enforced by an authority such as a state. It is the responsibility of governments to make political decisions that affect citizens’ lives, such as taxation, economic policy, foreign policy or social issues like education and health care.In democratic countries like the United States, politics involve elections to decide which politicians will have control over power. Political leaders use their powers to influence public opinion on important matters such as taxes, foreign policy and social issues like health care and education. They also create laws which are meant to protect citizens from harm or unfair treatment from one another.Political parties play an important role in democracies because they provide voters with choices about who should be elected into office and what policies should be adopted by the government. Political parties also serve as a voice for different points of view within society by representing particular ideologies or interests that may not otherwise have representation within government circles. Government is responsible for setting up institutions that allow citizens to express their views on various topics through voting on legislation, holding referendums or organizing protests against certain policies they disagree with. Government must also adhere to international law by abiding by treaties it has agreed upon with other nations or organizations such as NATO and The United Nations (UN). By working together politics and government can provide a stable platform for citizens to live their lives while ensuring protection from harm caused either domestically or internationally; while providing an effective system of governance so that collective decisions can be taken which benefit everyone in society regardless of race, gender or class status.
