ANS: Aule Metele is portrayed as a Roman magistrate. This indicated the fusion and absorption of the Etruscan population into Roman society. The Wolf represented the new republic of Rome. It was commissioned after the expulsion of the tyrant, Tarquinias Superbus. The craftsmanship was pure Etruscan as was the presentation of the defiant animal suckling the brothers, Romulus and Remus. This work was the visible example of the beginning of the fusion and merging of Etruscan society and culture into Roman society.

ANS: The Tomb of the Reliefs interior suggests a domestic context and a connection between the houses of the living and the dead. We see a joyful occasion celebrated by both men and women in the Tomb of the Leopards. We see a banquet that might be outdoors and in a tent. It is a celebration. Both interiors are giving us glimpses into the psyche of the Etruscan mind. We see their private homes and their private celebrations. We also see how they dealt with death.
